The S.E.L.F. Organization, Inc-NFP is a nonprofit which means "Self Empowering Through Love and Faith" is established to provide educational programs, non-violence programs to the community, child-care assistance, mentoring, job develop, job readiness programs, unhoused and transitional housing assistance programs and resources to disadvantaged communities, youths and families.

A: The S.E.L.F. Youth & Tutoring Program is designed to empower youth through academic support, mentorship, and life skills development. Our goal is to help students build confidence, improve grades, and grow socially and emotionally in a positive, supportive environment.

Q: What subjects or services are offered?

A: We provide tutoring in reading, math, and writing, along with STEM activities, creative arts, leadership development, and non-violence education.

Q: What ages or grade levels do you serve?

A: We serve children from Preschool through 6th Grade in our tutoring and academic enrichment programs.

A: SELF Connects is the transportation service that S.E.L.F. Organization partners with to provide safe and reliable transportation for children and families participating in our programs.

A: A small transportation fee may apply depending on distance and service needs. Families will receive a transportation schedule and payment plan upon enrollment.

A: Parents can register for SELF Connects transportation during enrollment or by contacting our administrative office for route options and availability.

Q: What programs are available for infants and toddlers?

A: KT Learning Academy offers nurturing infant care, toddler development, and early learning programs, focusing on language, motor, and social-emotional growth.

A: Yes! We provide special break and holiday programs for working families, including fun enrichment and community engagement activities.

Safety & Staff

Q: How do you ensure safety for all children?

A: All staff and drivers undergo background checks, CPR/First Aid certification, and safety training. Transportation vehicles are regularly inspected and equipped with safety features.

A: Enrollment forms are available online or in person at our administrative office. You can also email or call to schedule a registration appointment.

Home Care Services Will Include:

• Healthy meal prep & feeding assistance

• Support for disabled and aging veterans

Q: What Activities Do We Offer?

A: Through partnerships with our local park district, we provide swim classes and seasonal sports such as; indoor soccer, basketball, volleyball and wrestling that promote fitness, confidence and teamwork.

Q: Can my child move from KT Learning Academy to the S.E.L.F. Youth Program?

A: Yes! Children who begin at KT Learning Academy can transition seamlessly into the S.E.L.F. Youth & Tutoring Program once they reach preschool or school age, continuing their learning journey in a familiar and supportive environment.

A: Transportation is available for students enrolled in S.E.L.F. Youth & Tutoring Program, KT Learning Academy, and partner schools.
